I moved back home to Finland in 2016 after working in the luxury fashion industry in New York for over 20 years. During my first cold winter in Helsinki I realized that I couldn't find warm, practical winter outfits that looked chic and sophisticated to wear while running errands, networking, and meeting friends. And then I was re-introduced to après ski!

As a result to my unsuccessful search, I decided to make my own line of luxe weekend wear. Also, I saw on my neighbourhood streets in New York and the Hamptons, the rise of athleisure, this blend of sport and style that has become one of the biggest trends in the fashion industry, which has plenty of room to explore. 

My Scandinavian grandmothers Mary and Li are not only the reason for my given name, they also play a huge part in the inspiration behind my business. Both grannies were strong and independent business women.
